Cardano Unveils Voltaire Age Updates: CIP-1694 and More!

Development Update Ahead of Voltaire Age

Cardano (ADA) has announced some recent ecosystem improvements in preparation for the arrival of the Voltaire age. Notable among these accomplishments is progress made in the age of the Conway ledger and the creation of CIP-1694, which is the first iteration of cardano’s on-chain governance. The primary objective of this stage is to create an entirely decentralized decision-making system.

Ledger Team Progress

The ledger team has been progressing in fundamental technology, with recent additions including Plutus v3 support for Conway and changes to delegation certificates. The ledger’s application programming interface (API) and Haskell code documentation received updates as well. Daedalus users can now get ADA prices independently from CoinGecko API due to improved API features.

Lace Desktop Development Team

To handle permitted dApp whitelisting, the Lace desktop development team has eliminated technological debt, enhanced packaging and unit testing capabilities, and created a new functionality. Plutus maintained development on Marconi indexers and Plutus built-in functions for BLS12-381 curves while Adrestia responded to community input after Lace launch by revising their report and making minor adjustments to Isabelle specification.

Hydra & Mithril Teams

Scalability work has been split between Hydra & Mithril teams, with hydraulic developing certifier service of aggregator & resolving fault in signer registration while mithril working on transaction pool performance optimization & benchmarking practice scenarios related to stake pool operations such as registering a new stake pool or delegating funds from one wallet address to another address within a stakepool .

Governance Workshop Funding

In order to promote collaboration among its user base, Cardano is encouraging community leaders and organizations worldwide to host their own governance workshops with funding provided by Cardano itself.
